Line II

It was one of the only shows of the week that wasn't beholden to the fads of international fashion. Which isn't to say that the show wasn't trendy: there were midi skirts, and the luxe, languid lines of 90s-style dressing, flat sandals and deconstructed tailoring. But it was done Dion's way. It was done with the deft, light hand that has come to characterise a Dion Lee design: effortlessly cerebral, ingeniously constructed and wholly, almost breathtakingly wearable...

The cake was a Blackberry Shagg. (coconut buttercake with blackberry preserves, buttercream and moist coconut flakes) The tea a mild and milky Early Grey. The place was Beatrix, a stroll down uneventful Queensberry St and the closest I came to happiness on last weeks trip to Melbourne. These were my final 5 shots on a roll of Kodak Portra 160 I had been so kindly given by dear Elize
It was small, calm, simple and to the point....the point being really good cake.
