4 most recent reasons I am broke - bitch
Two lessons I learnt
1. If you have no money in the bank there's usually a good reason for it
2. Before you purchase do some research - I found the shown dress online for $70 cheaper. Thats like a weeks groceries just because this 'boutique' decided they made the dress look classy enough to give it a like 500% mark up
NB: Lesson # 2 doesn't always work when you're an impulse shopper GUILTY
P.S Excuse poor quality of image 3
made for
I literally ran across the shop to pick up (and go on to stroke, clutch and hold) these boots up with such haste that I could feel the shop assistants in Zomp keeping a particularly close, not to mention suspicious, eye on me for the rest of my time in store.
I fell hard and fast. Finally I had found what I was looking for...just the right chunkiness, leather, buckle, toe, height, slouch, structure and any other feature (or lack of) I wanted, it had. A quick flip over for a price check and it all came crashing down. Even the day after pay day finances don't allow for unplanned $895 splurges at this point in time.
I have come to learn that Fiorentini + Baker has quite the following (perhaps not so much in Australia but if they're ever looking for an ambassdor I'll sign myself up) and am now keeping a close watch on its movements.

to be
Scrolling through my 'shopping list' folder (yes I have a folder dedicated to pictures of items I plan or at least aspire and desire to purchase) to check out what my budget won't allow me to afford this fortnight, I noticed myself going back for second third and fourth glimpses of the following bundle of suede and rubber joy.

I was doing a showing a few weeks ago and a stylist came in wearing them in black (she owns both colours). After oggling for a few minutes I just couldn't help myself and had to ask her where they were from. I was happy with the response - no foreign cities, no big designer ($) names - and was sure they could be made mine. Not long after my search started did it end as it seemed they had sold out everywhere. The end.
OR NOT!!!!! Tonight I decided a quick google search of "siobahn sambag" couldn't hurt anyone. Top result was the online stockist I had originally looked on who had sold out. Call it magic or fate or luck or whatever else you want (I'm gonna go with magic for this one) and every size has those big ugly capital SOLD OUT letters next to them except for 39. Oh joy!
NB: Find the phrase "what my budget won't allow me to afford this fortnight" and replace with "items that are essential so special considerations can be made".

from that to this
Found and bought boots. Now that the search is finally over I can focus on a leather jacket which I believe will complete my winter wardrobe....possibly along with a couple of basics. And a cardigan. And some more socks. And hats. And dam, does anyone out there ever actually feel as though their wardrobe is complete?

Been inspired by

So much so that I wore

out on weekend. NB: The top did actually semi meet the top of the skirt/belt its just my typical trashy club mirror photo that had made my body and outfit slighlty distorted.
The skirt was borrowed from a friend but am thinking will have to buy one...this is it in a different colour.

I feel a little strange having a photo of me (well, the me from neck to hip) up so I'll see how long that actually lasts!
Do you ever/often recreate looks that you've seen on other bloggers/celebrities? I must say I felt like a bit of a fraud on Sat whenever someone commented on my outfit lol

work hard for tha money
Earning money is good Spending the money you earn in AMAZING.
My latest purchase was a Fleur Wood playsuit. Super duper cute. But bought it 2 sizes too big (why??) and gotta find a good tailor now.

Went to buy this Mink Pink 'Violet Tendencies' but none of my size left. Shattered. to. pieces.

Looking for a good pair of ankle boots like these Ellery ones. Little bit of somethin somethin to stand out from the sea of black booties is essential.
I give you Ellery's 'Barnacle boot'.

MAYBE might look as investent and take the plunge next pay day. Until then I'll be thinking about it...any help? NB: they will be 80% of a fortnights pay.
Easter long weekend just around the corner which I'm excited for a bit of me time and catching up on a looonnnggg list of blogs I havent been able to check for a few weeks now. I'm already excited, it's like how I feel when I know I'm about to catch up with a long lost friend. So much to get through, where to begin!

"High heels, like champagne, are a cause worth suffering for"
Couldn't have said it better myself Jenny Carlyle.

A very tight selection of my faves on net-a-porter a the moment.
Black shoes may be versatile and what not but when you're dreaming, versatility/investment/practicality aren't concepts that even need consideration.
Shall we start on the rest? Oh...you don't have the restof your day/night to waste? Ok so I guess I'll release my latest shoe desires upon you slowly (but surely).
