looking in

Can someone write something clever, honest and insightful without being tragic and lame about feeling:
  • anxious over success or more specifically, a lack thereof
  • drowning, suffocating, getting lost in disorganisation
  • a rush to get to the future
  • inability to express all that one feels
  • inability to show all that one see's
  • tension in the head
  • backflips in my stomach

I don't understand why some days adrenaline decides to pump a little harder through my veins (no not that good, ready to leap out of my skin adrenaline, the other one) and my brain whirs at a noticeably and dangerously higher speed.
It is also on these days that the world seems to moves in slow motion and I am able to make everything a melancholic movie moment...like birds flying through the sky for example. True story - I saw that only hours ago and wanted to cry.
I hate these days!

Tomorrow the sun will come up and I can almost guarantee it will be all rainbows and lollipops but for now my fingers running over these keys release a little of whatever this is that's stirring. All at the risk of being eye-rolled and misinterpreted by strangers. Whatever.

This too shall pass. Sleeeeeeppp.

The wait.

I hope you don't know that I'm in love with you.
It's no secret to almost anyone but you.
I have been living out our romance through song lyrics, stories and pictures.
I find myself clinging to any piece of you that I find in fictional characters - I swear they are more accessible than you right now.
I guess I am a romantic but I also hope that I am a realist.

Brain is slightly scattered right now but muchos love for this delightfully hot weather. Please understand the gaps in posting, the ocean has got my undivided attention for the next little while...athough I do need to regroup sooner or later as have MANY photos to share which come complete with fond memories to relive.

Was meant to be taking photos of my necklaces and some how ended up with a self portrait. I think I don't mind it because half of my face is covered and I'm liking the lo res grainy contrasty look right now. Might do a group of these type shots at some stage. Basically just enjoying playing with editing styles.

If ever I don't know what to draw I draw eyes.

Never ever will I tire of looking at iris's...so fascinating. Perhaps I should look into iridology? We really are fearfully and wonderfully made.

Ok so I've been a little caught up in the real world (or maybe caught up isn't the right phrase...caught up implies that I didn't have control or was unable to get away from it, when its actually quite the opposite, I pretty much threw myself into it) and have been purposely ignoring the e-world for the past 5 days or so. No blogging, browsing, ebaying, facebooking and anything else that you can think of that involves being online.

I needed a bit of time to gather my thoughts without so much distraction and the push and pull I feel when I have all this inspiration just dumped on me everyday (usually in the form of my bloglovin account) that really isn't helping my restless feeling....I wanna go explore, like, now!

In saying that...check out my lastest pile of (real life)reading material. Enough to keep me entertained for the whole month ATLEAST

  • Russh (I'm known to squeal when I see this waiting on the table for me every 2 months..and I'm definately NOT a squealer)
  • New Moon (Twilight fans unite)
  • Dazed&Confused
  • Plastique (my absolute number one favourite magazine, second to my absolute favourite above number one always and forever Russh)
  • The Road Less Travelled (taking bits and pieces of timeless wisdom from this well read classic)
  • Its Not How Good You Are It's How Good You Want to Be (thanks Mum)
  • Canon EOS 450D User Manual (I've got a long way to go...please bear with me as I play and hopefully improve)
  • My diary from my trip to Espana 2 years ago(another non helpful tool in keeping me from eloping to some foreign country)

In other news, chai tea NB: TEA. not this powder or syrup chai latte crap thats everywhere. tea leaves or spices or whatever it actually is brewed toegther with soy milk and maybe a touch of honey is the way chai should be drunk. end of story. not up for discussion. and paninis are my current beverage and meal of choice.

Next up: a post about fashion. Promise!

work. work. work. blah. blah. blah.

I am missing blogging. Will be back soon. If I'm not promising anyone reading I'm at least promising it to myself to be back with regular updates as soon as next lot of assignments in.

How boring and lame do I feel right now? Heaps. Pathetic post Rachel, try harder next time you have some time.
