The most perfect Sunday.
Scenic train trip. Read book front to back. 3 hour brunch. Try to unravel mysteries of attraction. Learn of a theory that makes me happy. Get excited about cameras. Be inspired. See potential. Lay on bed. Walk the dog. Dive in ocean. Observe Miss Thai bikini shoot. Vomit in our mouths a little. Eat Mums Macedonian home feast. Party in our mouths a little. Drive home. End the day with Sunday soul food.
Refreshed.

Tell me your Sunday story.

Starting new project involving photos (with yours truly behind the lens) and themes of street corners, icecream, sunshine, lollipops and fresh faces. Cheeky but slmut free. Dairy products dripping on nipples is NOT a requirement unless of course you...oh nup forget it.

You live in Sydney and you know you want to be involved!!!!!!!!!!!!!! rachel.kara@hotmail.com.

This is where it all begins. In my bedroom sometime around midnight eating an almond Magnum.

Dean Martin happened to be timed to perfection so I slapped the track on top of the video just for good measure.
Probably could have done with something a little less classic, but it makes it awkward enough to eliminate any possible suggestiveness of the whole affair.

A simple reminder that inspiration lies not only in what we make but what He (or apes, or a big bang or who/whatever you like to think re: this universe coming into being) created first.

A casual Tuesday evening stroll around a mineral display later and we'd successfully created accessory collections for the next 258 seasons + a range of prints to be used on pleated maxi skirts, light and airy silk camis, shift dresses, sheer blazers, button ups....the list goes on.

Mesmerised by this clip from Bonjour Tristesse, the film adaptation of 17 year old Françoise Sagan's classic literary effort.

If that wasn't enough - I almost wet. my. pants. when I saw the following.
If I had of created these images I promise you I would be loving myself so sick it would make you gag.
Makes me wanna be a lady in the least ladylike way possible.

Heavenly. Don't know if there's a good enough word to describe them but do feel free to make some suggestions :)

The design & prints alone make me wanna chop my head off, see life from a different vantage point and have a good hearty laugh about it. Add (blogger) Larry and his expressions into the equation and I'm lolerskating right into the arms of Agi & Sam.

Genius.

Shout outs for lookbook images go to Toby Grimditch for creative consulting, seen through the lens of Luke Stephenson, styled by (blogger) Madeleine Ostile.

French novelist, playwright, artist, actor and photographer Francoise-Marie Bannier is an 'artiste complete' so to speak and most definitely filed under the heroes section of my brain.

One big thing about Bannier is that in 1994 he kind of took one of the dreamiest pictures my gleaming, imperfectly-perfect-in-love craving eyes could feast on.

My first memorable Erin encounter:

Vogue Australia. December 2007. Bondi to Byron. I so clearly remember trying(dying) to find an occasion where rocking Cavalli jeans, tousled hair, a hat and not much else would be appropriate. Still waiting for that day to be honest...

...if the day never comes there at least needs to be a short, sheer, figure hugging (somehow skank free) lace with no lining moment.

No?

Fine. I'll settle for a bangin' NYC loft apartment.

It just doesn't seem fair!

Some photos from my summer (coincidently) in tones that welcome autumn -  a season of settling down and snuggling in (one can only hope).

Try it my way.

If Candy isn't one of the most beautiful, fragile, real, perfect, poetic, tragic movies of all time I don't know what is.

"We squelched in the mud of our joy." Yes to this.
