HRY LOVE

I know this girl. She's one of my only friends I can eat cake with mid afternoon, midweek and not feel as though I'm a fraud at life. She knows the freelance life. She lives it too.
We like to dream a lot. We talk way more than we do. We have many half formed ideas sitting and weaving their way through our conversations. The ideal home, job, child, cake, meal, day, wardrobe, holiday, packing list, kitchen, life - they've all been covered that more than a few times, always growing and refining themselves as #thedream each time they are spoken out.
We're as bad as one another at going all the way with action plans.
We like to sit, find comfy places to settle in. We've gotten really good at that. We like things to be honest.
We admire glamorous women, but really, would always go for whoever was laughing the loudest and wearing flats with their hair not quite done.
We crave simplicity and get seriously blissed out at brief moments of experiencing it...driving out of the city, staring at the ocean, early mornings, sitting & sharing around a table, BABIES, love, a great novel, crisp air.
We love love. Actually, we need to talk about this more.
We are learning to value our skills. When they undervalue her work I'm always dying to send an eff yourselves email to who ever is responsible. Instead we bitch about it and drink some tea and eat cake. We're ladies after all.
All the love heart eye emojis for you HRY. When I'm not so sleepy I'll tell you some more. xxx

four of twenty four. on a roll.

Same but different. Can you feel it? It can't be faked. A few favourites from an odd roll of 35mm shot on that day in the Blue Mountains a couple of months back.

Trying to figure out a better blog schedule in amongst the jumble that is my diary. I thought it was about priorities but sometimes it is reduced to something less considered than that even, necessities perhaps? Where you cannot think you just have to do and get done.  Ho hum. Don't leave! Tell me how life is?

Living it

I stop, close the doors so I can't hear the bloody TV in the next room, breathe out, let my shoulders drop and start scrolling through page after page...after page...of my newest (online) love. The further into the archives I dig the more I get lost in the photos and words and dreams that are passing me by with every new click and scroll.
Rohan lives in an old school house (not like 'kickin' it old-school' old school, more like an actual house that belonged to a school some amount of time ago) with a 'useful garden' and a life that seems to revolve around food - and the growing, planting, hunting, gathering that goes with it when you are sustainably and ethically minded - along with some nice trees, mushrooms, kids and well, I guess photography and the interwebs when I consider for a second how exactly I know all of this about his life. The photos he takes are nek level!! Inviting, perfectly balanced (in every sense of the word) and truly make my insides warm as I sense the care and peace that surrounds them. Yes, yes I realise living in the forest doesn't make you a zenned out green space fairy but it sure as heck helps.

I get the feeling Whole Larder Love has more of an empire than I realise with a book coming out soon and an ABC Cooking Series link on the blog (which I must check out) but I really truly don't think that changes the way he, nor I, look at it.

My mind is now wandering down paths of it's own where I see myself migrating north after a short and succesful spurt of financially sustaining work, to buy a nice piece of empty land where I will live simply, breathe, nest and create whatever it may be with my love.

I think it's time for bed.

dirty B

Mesmerised by this clip from Bonjour Tristesse, the film adaptation of 17 year old Françoise Sagan's classic literary effort.

If that wasn't enough - I almost wet. my. pants. when I saw the following.
If I had of created these images I promise you I would be loving myself so sick it would make you gag.
Makes me wanna be a lady in the least ladylike way possible.

Heavenly. Don't know if there's a good enough word to describe them but do feel free to make some suggestions :)
