My top three sunny photos on The Sartorialist right now. Jonathan Saunders colour palette is all kinds of ridiculous amazingness.



I discovered my love for the combination of olive and periwinkle blue just this Saturday whilst trying on two separate pieces that ended up looking as though they were designed to be bought/worn together. Chance meetings, unexpected coupling and perfect fits are wonderful things that can not and simply must not be ignored. I bought both pieces.

Arnsdorf. I'm going to start a small section of my closet purely dedicated to this label. I lived in a pale pink button-up all summer long, since aquired a khaki green one of the same style and plan to wear my indigo high waisted's till there is no more 4% elastane (NB: this translates to 10 points on the comfort scale) left.






Next on the list; 100% silk folded collar shirt in Rust and skivvy dress in Rouge (or Ink or Nude for that matter) please and thank you.

Final outfit for final day at work. New year = new career.

Sorry about the dodgy 'mirror-ing' (+ colouring....oops). I must have set up the shot at two different times hence different angle that I couldn't seem to make symterical. Let your eyes relax so much so that they blur in preparation to fall out, then look again. Lines up perfectly right? Right.

i want that one

 Latest addition to my wardrobe. White, light fabric, sheer panels at mid section, reasonable price - really, how do you expect I could say no?! I did think it through and justified it for its versatile nature...

• Loose jacket over dresses/shorts & tank on those nights where there's a slight nip in the air
• Long shirt with leggings for times when its on the coolER side but has the chance of heating up at any given moment (Australia quite often = 4 seasons in one day for those unaware) in which case leggings can simply be slipped off to become...
  
• Floaty dress with sandals OR boots OR heels which would suit throwing on to go get a latte just as much as it would a night out on the town. 

Wow I feel so justifed it's like I barely spent a cent. Australian label Shakuhach are on fiiire this season. Their embellished lace dresses/tshirts complete with shoulder pads are ahmazing. Lots of knots, draping, studs, lace, cut outs, sheerness, shoulders, assymetry yet somehow not being too 'trendy' or seasonal. Will be pondering on which is piece next to be made mine.



Am on the hunt for the perfect black maxi. Soft drapey fabric that hangs just right, lowish back, easy to wear. Any suggestions?

Hanneli Mustaparta. What a fine lady. I have this tank and am now just looking for the spraklebomb bra to go with it. I simply will not be satisfied wearing it any other way after seeing this pic. Any suggestions??

Pair back

Come summer time if I'm not at work I'll be found in minimal clothing - perhaps a piece of soft cotton paired with well worn in denim on top of a small but strategically placed piece of lycra - at most. Barefoot is ideal but will deal with Havianas if required. Dam society and its clothing is necessary; not optional, views (yes I realise this may seem strange coming from a girl who works in, plays with, dreams and blogs about fashion...but I also do enjoying human flesh in its most natural state. I took out the garbage naked the other night, was thrilling). This of course does not leave all that much room for glamour, not that I'm much of a glamour girl anyway......but point of the story is if I'm gonna be buying its gotta be comfy, its gotta work in with what I already have, its gotta be stripped back and its got to be fabric of an above average quality, softness, lightness level. Which is where these Rittenhouse pieces come into it. Adore the watercolour/ink prints they have done for summer.
Whats even better is that my absolute fav local boutique Palms stocks the label. Fingers crossed the styles I'm after have made her cut!

upgrade

What used to be an overwhelming, time consuming/wasting (but completely neccesary) trawl through net-a-porter has now been mastered down to an artful click and super swift scan of each page, immediately being able to recognise what is 'me' and ignoring what is not - as beautiful and luxe as it all may be.

Above is the cull of what I would work into my current wardrobe for a fresh start to Spring...it is already in the air. LOVES it

Speaking of things in the air, last week I had the life knocked out of me with a sudden case of swine flu. I think I had been slowing down before for other reasons but now that I am better will hopefully be back on blogging bandwagon.
